Dr. Jennifer Fulton

With 41 years of professional experience, I have worked solely with parents, children, and families. In that time, I have been committed to helping families understand their children, to helping children to learn and develop their strengths, and to teaching communication skills that develop strong, positive relationships.

First as a Montessori teacher and later as a school social worker and a therapist in private practice, I learned that I have the ability to deeply connect with children and adults, helping them to express themselves, to feel safe in my care, and to discuss the difficult feelings which impact their lives. All adult interactions with children are integral to a sense of themselves, both in childhood as well as adulthood. In working as a therapist with either adults or children, exploring what has been learned by the client through these communications provides insight into their sense of self.

My role as a therapist is to help clients to become authentic and more satisfied with their lives.

I am an advocate for children and their families. I know that even the most challenging children have a desire to have improved relationships and I have developed the skills to assist children and adolescents in improving their relationships and to grow confidently.

Through research using brain imaging, we know that positive adult interactions can influence a multitude of learning and health related outcomes for children. My goal is to provide this and to teach parents how to have positive interactions with their children. I have had many successes with my clients; children, adolescents, and adults. The changes I make with clients solidly grounds them in their most authentic self and they find happiness is knowing who they are, what they want, and that they are able to achieve what they desire.
